It's a pretty nifty feature :)

The graph for VK6RVP is telling - because it will hold out and wait for other digipeaters before digipeating a packet, any packet digipeated by it means that there's a coverage gap.

How did you find that ?
Click on a digi or igate, select info. On the info page look for

APRS digipeater – Statistics for 2010-10:
Stations heard directly: 6 on radio path – show map

Click on the show map link

We've set up 6AHR-3 in a similar way (as well as we could with the KPC-3) A Tracker2 is going in on Saturday which will let us make it exactly like RVP. I'll probably be doing the same with RN-13 as well, as soon as I find out why it's repeating on WIDE2-n.

Can't see how. Maybe it doesn't keep data that far back (although the telemetry data goes back forever)

G'day All,

If anyone wants to try to Digi thru the ISS their Packet system is operational at present.

A great pass over Perth yesterday afternoon allowed me to Digi thru the ISS on my VX-8 handheld and then SGATE via VK6MJ-6. Below is the packet...

VK6GHZ-6>SR03T0 via RS0ISS-4*,qAS,VK6MJ-6

(Webpage Link: http://www.db0anf.de/app/aprs/stations/ ... l=VK6GHZ-6)

You can plot further passes thru this webpage: http://www.issfanclub.com/

Yeah, I noticed too. A lot of invalid telemetry message payloads. Doesn't appear to be digipeating other digipeaters so might be a fill-in?

VK6KSB-3 disappeared 3 hours ago, hopefully its only temporary.
It provides huge coverage from Bunbury to South of Perth.
EDIT: make that one day and 3 hours.

Hi Guys,

VK6TNC-3 is now up and running. The station consists of a Motorola M120 and Kantronics 9612+ TNC feeding a Diamond Colinear antenna on a 12 metre mast in my backyard.

This site was originally suggested by Peter, VK6FUN, as a replacement for VK6RLK-3, which had been vandalised in the past. After an initial programming glitch with telemetry, it seems to be working well. During testing it could rx VK6KSB in Pinjarra direct.

APRS coverage should now extend along Gt Eastern Hwy from Sawyers Valley to West of Northam. Further sites are planned for York, Northam and Kellerberrin

Many thanks to Peter (VK6FUN) and Craig (VK6FLAM) who made this site possible.

Wx data is gated to CWOP and www.vk6tnc.cz.cc

G'day Chris. I watched VK3BAK-9 coming in from the eastern states. There's a bit of a dead patch around The Lakes/Beechina where he wasn't making it into yours or Tic Hill (or anywhere else). I'm not familiar with the area but I assume it's low lying since there are lakes there.

Hi Rob,

No official range testing yet but you may well be correct. The Lakes is in a low spot between Acacia prison to the east and the Chidlow turn off to the west

Hi All,
Lamby here.
VK6TNC insisted I come and have a look at the results of our handy work at Wundowie. Looks promising.

Anyway, will follow the thread.

Cheers All.
