It might be a case of "build the network and the users will come". VK6RVP and my Igate opperated for years without a single user... but when interest started warming up a functioning digipeater and Igate was all ready to go.
I have just ordered another couple of loads of APRS equipment on behalf of local hams from Argent Data in the US.

A small truckload by the looks :-)

We'll be ordering some more stuff from Argent Data in a few weeks if anybody's looking for Opentracker related items (or GPS suitable for APRS)

Lotsa APRS DX last night. XLR Geraldton making it directly to KSB-3 Pinjarra. Both making it to me direct.
And I just pinged Cataby and Busselton repeaters.

Hi guys :)

The digipeater is not quite ready to go upon the hill yet. Still being tested at my QTH but I've entered the co-ords for Moresby Range.

My FTM-350R in the shack heard VK6KSB-3, VK6RAA-3, VK6RAW-3, VK6AHR-3, VK6HGR-1, VK6AN-9, VK6MT, VK6WB-3, VK6RTH-3, VK6RVP-1 and VK6USB-3 via last nights tropo.

Rick

G'day Rick, welcome aboard.
Last summer we saw a VK3 which I seem to remember made it WIDE2-2 through a digi in Mt Gambier to VK6KSB-3.
Looks like we're getting a nice digipeater run going from your end down to Albany. One around Cataby and another around Williams or Wagin would fill the gaps nicely.

A digi at the WARG site on Mt Saddleback would do the job nicely .

I've not noticed this function before at aprs.fi It shows you a general map of where digipeaters and i-gates are hearing other stations. This one's for Tic Hill and shows just how well the digi works.
