If it's constructed anything like the SB-15 then it can take a beating. They look very similar.

I was thinking about buying 2 or 3 of these; one for the roof at work, one for APRS and a spare

The SBB-7 is on special at ATRC for $115. (Left over stock from Gold Coast Hamfest)

I am just using a 1/4 wave whip mag mount on the boot for APRS. It seems to be working well
with the 5watt T/X.
