I'm a Yaesu fan but I'm a bit disappointed by the new radios. Did they do anything other than bump up the output power?

I read that it includes a new memory only mode. Whatever that means. I guess the FT7800 does not have that. I see it is not listed on the Australian Vertex site yet so appears to be import only. USA usually get things before they are released in Australia.

I haven't read all the specs but from a TX POV it doesn't look much different. 5w increase on 1900, 10w on 2900 isn't exactly ground-breaking

I wonder which will be the first to have a rig with an Ipod docking port. I see the FTM-350R has a line input for listening to your favorite stereo music from other devices.
