Well, like it says above, when i begin transmitting, after approx 1 second in a DTMF tone transmits.
Any ideas on how i can turn this off?
(i have a Yaseau FT-60R)

Turn off the "WIRES" setting. It's the atom icon in the top right corner.

I used to have that handheld, until i sold it.
I think you need to press the 2nd function button and then the button with the wires logo on it.
