I've rung the ACMA and they will email me this afternoon to let me know whether they've received the recommendations from the WIA.

:?

edit - response from ACMA:

"there's quite a few to be done and we'll be doing them as soon as possible"

Not possible to give estimate...

Thanks Meg.
hmmm, i asked the same thing actuly.
Theyve been recived as meg said but just not done yet.

Not sure why since the WIA now do all the paper work that ACMA used to have to do. it should be quicker.

EDIT: bad news,

They think theres a chance it will be next week.
They say they have all sorts of licences to get through instead of just amateures, such as radars, mobile phone transmitters, aviation licences, broadcasting licences, ect

Somebody should invent a machine that can compute really fast to process data like this so that humans don't have to do it. This computational machine would have a central processing unit, some memory to store information and a visual display to play games with. I would call it .. hmm.. a computator. Then ACMA and WIA could buy one and save everybody a lot of time and stress.

I'm going to ring them tomorrow and see if I can talk them into it. Should I ask to speak to someone in the abacus department? Or the stone tablet department?

Hang on ACMA is a government department so they'll still be there until they can find another department that is still using pigeons then they can do a transfer.
