So, who's doing what for the Remembrance Day contest in a couple of weekends time?
http://www.wia.org.au/members/contests/rdcontest/
It's open to all, including SWL's (Shprt Wave Listeners) and I guess Scanner listeners too
Everyone I've spoken to says it's alot of fun, the most fun comp all year.
So, what are everyone's plans?

Probably get the minimum (5?) to help out the VK6ers win again. Did you listen to the last one?

Nope, didn't know I was about to become a ham at that point...

Oh fairy nuff. You'll have time to listen how it works and decide to have a go. I think I'd get pretty bored with it after an hour or so. Somebody needs to create a contest that involves longer QSOs than "You're 59001 bye. CQ RD..."

I will go in the HF section, swapping numbers locally on VHF and above gets a bit tedious.

Hey Wes,
Where is Lake Nunijup...?
I was thinking exactly the same thing, but was too lazy to look it up

Hey Wes,
The question was a
Dorothy Dixer...!
That was your cue to come in and tell everyone that Lake Nunijup is about an hours drive north of Albany. Beautiful lake, used by locals for water skiing in the summer, some big trees to hang wire dipoles from and a powered hall for the RD contest!

Just saw in the rules - there's a minimum of 10 contacts if anyone is wanting to do their bit to get the trophy another year in VK6

I wonder if that's 10 contacts total or 10 contacts per log?

I would guess "per log" since each callsign and HF vs other are all different logs - don't want them having to spend valuable time matching up addresses when there are exam papers to check do we?

at least everyone will know when the contest is because the date is in the title, so we shouldn't have anyone starting a week early...
