Used to happen on RNC before. Pain in the butt if you're trying to call someone.

ahh thanks guys, right there with you rob, hey wes, Yer actuly the owner of the RNC repeater told me that he ripped out the irlp link for a while because of people connecting it to nasa, and then leaving it on nasa and eventuly the repeater would melt down. i guess once its connected its hard to disconnect.

Yer i guess it is some sort of link there hey meg, question is what has nasa tv got to do with amateur radio?

I quite like it myself - and I think it's interesting content for amateur radio "broadcast" as it were. I can see it's a pain if someone else wants to use the link for another contact, but no more of a pain than if someone were just talking to their mate (via IRLP or just locally) when you wanted to use it. *shrug*

Yeah, I've had a listen to that one Martin - that's the Apollo 11 mission. The one that was on RFM was the current ISS spacewalk which is pretty interesting still.

Plus I can't stream internet audio in my car :-)
