Hello there,
Must be some strong inversion around tonight. Im picking up the WIA News Broadcast through every country repeater frequency listed for WA.
Im using a SCBASE antenna mounted about 4 meters high on my chimney.
Very strong signals from far and wide....
Cheers, CC

Well it's not rebroadcast down here so you can't have heard the two repeaters here.

Roleystone repeater is crapped out and is several hundred kHz too wide.

Hmm, but is being sent out across all the country frequencies. That can't be good?

No, you're just hearing Roleystone's output on the output frequencies of the other repeaters. It won't be reaching their input frequencies

(well unless it's making it to the other local hills repeaters) Instead of being about 16KHz wide, it's bloody
huge wide.
Edit: I think it was said that the transmitter starts doing weird things like that when the input voltage drops very low, so it is probably on batteries again due to a CB trip.

Roley 2m was put down a few minutes ago, so I'll shut this thread down. Also, if you have FM DX/ducting stuff, there's a sticky here
