All,
Jono 6NDT and I have planned to replace the single folded dipole on VK6RTP Tom Price with a new Diamond F22 when I fly back up in a week. With that sort of gain and 1130m AMSL we are hoping to see some activity. Keep an ear out for it on 146.625.
Cheers
Lamby

Will do
Also you can put a too higher gain antenna on a repeater. The lobes can null the town below
and cover the outer areas.

Keep an ear out for Exmouth 146.850Mhz.

Heard the usual suspects this morning mobile in Northern suburbs ; Cataby, Busselton, Mt Bill, Mt Saddleback, Harvey and what might have been Northam creating weird noises. Got into 6RGN while driving past Observation City but they must have been asleep
Edit: Make that 6ROO not 6RGN

6RGN? Where's that, hihi
Very few monitor that one now as 6ROO is the repeater of choice.
Once 6RGN gets upgraded and antenna raised quite a few more metres, then there will be more interest

My mistake, it was ROO. I have it tagged on my IC208 as "Gerro"
6RGN is the one that shares the same freq with Kal and Katanning?

ROO is 146.775
RGN is 147.000 Shared as you mentioned.
I guess everyone was busy this morning as not to hear you. I was in Three Springs. Bit hard to hear our repeaters from there, hihi.

The duct is cracking along this arvo. Rick 6XLR in Gerro through 6RAP (which explains why he wasn't hearing me on 6ROO mobile in Swanbourne)

Spoke to Jeff VK6AX via Rolystone.
No-one else though. Pity as was perfect to liaise a 6m contact.
