That would be me and VK6FDX trying to have a QSO on it.

Ah, not working too well then :(

I'm hearing 2m & 6m beacons from both VK6RPH and VK6RBU!

G'day All,

Great ducting up the West Coast this morning.

Managed an APRS beacon from near Nerren Nerren back to RTH-3 with a hop of 542.7kms!. Equipment used was a Byonics MT-AIO and a Tri-Mag Mount base with a SG7500. Output on the MT-AIO is currently 21W.

This was mobile whilst travelling northbound on the North West Coastal Hwy at 2141Z (30NOV).

30w Alinco amp I believe. Drive on the output of the Big Yellow Bee is wound down a bit so it won't cook.

I'm told all you need to do is set your APRS frequency to 145.825 and no obstructions and you'll have a pretty good chance of hitting it if it's in your airspace? (Assuming the other locals aren't pounding it every 3 seconds)

You also need to change your path from Wide1-1, Wide2-1 etc to ARISS.

Aha OK. Sounds like a good use for Profile 2 and profile switching.
