Cool! Zebedee - I think you and WARSUG have brought alot of new people to amateur radio in the last 12 months - well done!

And good luck to the two new mystery WARSUGgers - hope to hear you soon!

I heard a certain porcine callsign chatting to a couple of Canadian callsigns during lunch today. That was a stroke of luck

Wasn't it just!

I'd just jumped back in the car after going to get lunch and the two Canadians were on RVP. So I thought "what better way to demo IRLP than to let a couple of students have a QSO" ;)

Yeah, who-ever you are. We met Peter (who I assume isn't a WARSUger) at HARG today who passed today's exam.

Both our WARSUG'ers passed - I'll leave it to them to identify themselves, I'm not going to drop them in it :P

In all, it was a good effort by all concerned. Especially under very trying environmental conditions! I was in charge of drinking tea and chatting to people and I felt like melting into a puddle, I'm glad I wasn't having to sit an exam as well! :)

But two of our forum group will be able to add F-calls to their signature blocks in the coming weeks - well done!

More importantly, the *next* Foundation course is on Saturday and Sunday the 21/22 March.

Anyone brave enough to reply to this and say they're thinking of giving it a go? ;)

I promise it's a fun way to spend a weekend, you get to play with some interesting radio tech, and most importantly of all ... BOWLS OF FREE MINTS!!! ;)

I know at least *one* current forum member has shown an interest and contacted me privately - time to put a face to a name I reckon and come do the course - you know who you are ;)

If anyone else is considering it, but wants to know a bit more about what's involved before they commit and say yes, either post back in here, or PM me privately (if you're a wuss ;) )

Oh and to those "victims" doing Standard, see you on the 10th!

Cheers,

yeah talk about surprise faces at the HARG! I went expecting to not know anyone, who's car is do I see, and who's the first person I see but Rob, who turns around and introduces me to ZMS. Of course a bit...oh who am I kidding...a lot later Meg and Simon rock up! Good catching up with/meeting you all!

I think 1430 was when we were just locking up at HC. Then I had a trip into work to go do some server stuff. Ah well, them's the breaks ...

Oh I showed 'em who was boss - I turned 'em all off! :)

Helps to keep them in line, and show who's *really* in charge!

Oh and after a day of stifling humidity, it was nice to sit in a chilled server room for a bit!
