Well done mate

I can remember when i got my licence.
The theme song for it was Black and gold by Sam sparrow becuase thats the song i heard when i was driving to the course.

Dear Doug

Congratulations on qualifying for an Amateur Operator's Certificate of Proficiency (Advanced).

Your official notification of results, together with your application for the issue of an Amateur Operator's Certificate of Proficiency and your application for a Station Licence and the applicable fees have been forwarded by the WIA to the National Licencing and Allocation Branch (NLAB) of the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) on 28th November 2008.

Chances of it appearing in the db before Christmas?? hopefully reasonable, I'm sure ACMA don't want to come back to a heap of work!

Cool! I think it was about a week between that letter and the ACMA database update for Tyranus and I. No letter for Simon as yet, but you did your Advanced almost a week before he did his Foundation.

Well I was being a bit of a pessimist the other day thinking that they wouldn't be keen on doing too much at this time of year. But maybe I'm going to be pleasantly surprised (and also the folks waiting for their Foundation licence {waves at Simon :P} )
