This topic for planning of regular and impromptu ham nets. If you want to suggest a regular day and time then go for it.

If you wish to organise an impromptu net meet-up, post a msg here, suggest a repeater or simplex frequency and a date & time. We'll try to make it

Part of the idea is to give the newer hams a chance to chat with people they already chat with here. It helps build confidence and we'll feel less embarrassed if we make mistakes or get stage-fight.

Remember that foundation calls can't use 6 metres and some HF. Also some members might not have access some bands and others might need to link in using echolink or IRLP.

There was a suggestion for a net Sunday 23rd Nov (tomorrow) on RFM again so that slipknot can link in and meg can get in. Hopefully meg will have 70cm fairly soon so Vic Park might be better and clearer while slipknot has to link. Once slipknot is local, the suitcase might be even better. That or Tic Hill 70cm once it's back home.

Edit: The Tic Hill 70cm repeater gets practically no use. I reckon we should hold the net there once it comes back online. But any metro repeater will do.
