I'm not sure if I'll be on or not - depends on the weather. I pulled down the X-50 and the mast yesterday arvo and I'm currently on my portable dipole indoors. It causes havoc with the TV and PCs and just about everything else. If all goes well, I'll be there with an extra 2.5m height and 12m of RG58 replaced with RG213

Ok so I finally got around to saving all the repeaters in my 7800...with the correct power level, and I can say that when I checked 3 minutes ago, I could trip the repeater and got a reasonable quality morse signal back! This is a good sign, will try and get on for 2000 tomorrow.

Thanks to mother nature, 99% done. Now 5 metres from top of roof to base of X-50. The 15 metres of RG213 reached with about 150mm spare

Should be interesting to see what it does in a gale force wind; no guys.

I suggest RLM for tomorrow if everybody is cool with that. How do you go with that Tyranus? slipknot is now local but I don't think he has net access so I'll try a good old fashion wireless radio talkie thingie to him.

6RLM sounds good, I may be late as I don't think I will finish work until about 8:30 pm tomorrow.

I've just learnt the Christmas special of spicks and Specks is on at 7.30 on ABC...for 1 hour...I won't be on air till at least 8.30. I'm aware others may also enjoy Spicks and Specks so I was thinking maybe having the net at 8.30 tonight...and no I can't ping Walliston repeater, I can ping Freo and get a good response, Roley comes in at S1 but I'm usually unreadable. Vic Park 70cm isn't too bad either.

Shall we just go for 8:30 then? I think Martin said he'd be late too. On Fremantle (RFM?) assuming slipknot can get that OK?
