PSK31

Got my first (and so far only) QSO with PSK31 yesterday. Would have got more than just the VK2 with more power and a better antenna than a trapped dipole.

Also good viewing on Youtube - look up K7AGE (I think that's his callsign).

Don't worry you'll learn all about it when you do your Standard course ;)

(That's what I was trying to tease you about yesterday on simplex when you said my signal dropped out ... a likely story!!! :P )

ahh fair enough. no you were rather quiet for one, and your signal did appear to time out on your handheld. As for when you were in your car...you come up here till 6 and I'll start driving and we'll see how far the signal goes from a handheld ;)

My current problem is a) my antenna is just a trapped dipole and b) nobody is listening for VK6.

I got a YB yesterday. :D

Just got an FR5 (Reunion Island) - beautiful signal.

One VK6 has a big signal but very very wide. Not checking their ALC/transmitter drive.

Most HF bands have PSK31 segments. A quick web search found this document which might help.

Try 14.070MHz for a good starting point.
