Was it long? If it was only brief, it can be LIPD interference (wireless headphones) that's getting through the CTCSS decoder.slipknot wrote:Hi all.

hmmm i guess if it was on the 433mhz band. some apliances are allowed to tranmit on this freq only with very low power. unless it was a harmonic.vk6hgr wrote:Was it long? The music was at the beginning of a NASA TV segment called "Flight Day Highlights Package" or something like that. I'm guessing that the song being played was the wake up call to the astronauts - they like to do that kind of thing.
It certainly got my attention though, as it appears it did others - well spotted slipknot A bit bizarre hearing music on AR when you're trained that the regs say it's verboten

Although I am a fan of the shuttle, the space station, and all that stuff in general, I'm not convinced that it's an appropriate way to tie up RVP to be honest. Plus from what I heard on the way home from Ham College last night, it's cutting in and out anyway, so you miss bits.slipknot wrote:thats one issue, last night i was trying to have a chat with a few people and i think that was what kept cutting us off. why are they playing it on the repeaters?
Oh well, someone must be finding it interesting if the link is being opened ...
