Depending where you are, you should be able to hear the Mt William repeater on 146.900MHz. If not, put the input frequency of 146.300MHz in your scan list and you should hear anyone locally using the repeater. Beacon wise, 144.560MHz is the beacon at Roelands or 50.306MHz but on a FM scanner you would not hear much anyhow...just a strong carrier and maybe some clicking.slipknot wrote:For now, im just using a scanner to listen to the amateur bands but i cant get anything, no becons, no repeaters, no singals at all on the amateur bands.
Apart from that I don't think there is too much activity around Bunbury.
You will probably hear a bit more when you get your X50.

Try the above link. This will provide you with timings and azimuth info of when AR Satellites pass over your part of the country side. You will have to configure your location i.e. put in your lat / long co-ordinates on the setup page in order for it to calculate correct timings and azimuth info.
Then all you do is leave your radio on the desired satellite's down-link frequency and hear the action...
Cheers, CC
