Yes i did use my callsign , Yes it was an X50 Blinky, and from the website, it says use 74.4hz for activation and 67hz for talking. so 50 has a ten min timer. Transmitted but no reponse.

If it's the Diamond X-50, it needs to be mounted vertically for it to work properly! It's designed as a Vertical Antenna - not one that's mounted horizontally....

That's where I was going. From what I've read, people have done it with verticals under the right conditions but don't count on it.
