There are standard calls that don't know what power they are permitted... 30 watts AM and FM (not 100 ... that's SSB only) in case they are reading this... :-)

If you've been to Ham College, how come you still can't spell amateur?
Surely you would have learnt about what class of license you were applying for?

Unfortunately there's still a fair amount of misinformation here and there about what's allowed and what's not - and the pX vs pY manages to still confuse people as well (as robbage mentions)...

Congratulations though to slipknot on completing the foundation course! Look forward to hearing you on-air!

Jeez slipknot, why didn't you just say you had passed the F and were waiting for a callsign. Or did I miss something (likely)

I must admit I will need to bone up on the regs if I am to get back on air again. I have been inactive since ~1997 and am aware the regs have undergone some changes in that time.

Because I had a 2 letter full call at the time, I've kept renewing my license every year in order to keep it. I dare say any spare 2 letter calls that pop up get snapped up!

The LCD has changed but the regs are basically the same.
I first passed the regs in 84 but couldn't find any paper work and had to re sit them last year when I started to get back into radios, not a lot was different.

The current LCD is here:
