I was almost going to buy the FT 100 from an ebay store in Singapore.
Looks like an Icom 706 is the go now.

Is the Mt Barker repeater used much? I have family in Denmark every time
I put out calls on my way through no one replies.

Yes it is... the Albany repeater is on low power at the mo as replacement parts are costly.

On VK6RAA you'll hear me, JRC, VX, DM and a few others. Usual time for me is in the mid/late arvo to early evening.
