Hey all.

Just letting you know that last night I was speaking to another ham user on VK6RAP? when an intruder broke into our conversation and decided to behave in a racist manner, using an aboriginal accent, and using the call sign VK6ABO.

Has anyone else heard this guy lately at all?

I'm guessing that it wasn't the actual license holder for that callsign residing in Clarkson, and they were using those three letters because it's the beginning to Aboriginal?

I've wanted to hobby a Direction Finding antenna system. Something I could walk around with using a yagi or something but havent had experience building one before.

I havent heard any pirates on the amateur repeaters before, then again I'm not on them that often.

Hmm, it's called fox hunting. Youtube has many, many how-to videos.

Record the audio if you have a smart phone and post it here. With the appropriate strong language cautions. ( beeping out racist stuff etc.)

Direction finding is really easy to do and those "tape measure" antennas as on the VK6 Fox web page work very well.
I have an aluminum one for driving around and a tape measure one for foot.
Two good 'direction fixes' is enough to know what suburb they are in.
