SWR Meters

Post by numloxx »

Hi all,

Looking at buying an SWR meter for my radios and just wondering what to look out for? Choice Magazine don't really review them... :) It will be mainly for HF and 2m.

I've narrowed my search down to 6 or 7 models from Strictlyham
  • Daiwa CN102L - 1.8-200mhz 20/200/2kw 2 needle $149
  • Diamond SX20C 3.5-30,50-54,130-150mhz 30-300W 2 needle $149
  • Daiwa CN101L 1.8-200mhz 15/15/1.5kw 2 needle $149
  • Diamond SX-200 1.8-200mhz 5/20/200w single needle $169
  • Diamond SX-100 1.6-60mhz, 30/300/3kw single needle $169 (Yes I'm aware it doesn't do 2m)
  • Daiwa CN801HP 1.8-200mhz, 20/200/2kw 2 needle $175
  • Daiwa CN801HP3 1.8-200, 30/300/3kw 2 needle $195.

I've only heard of Diamond as a brand, so maybe some others can make recommendations, as I'm still new to this :)

I prefer Diamond meters to Daiwa. For reviews on products check out eham.net

Cheers, I'm just checking it out and it seems that the SX-200 is a good choice :)
