Hmmm... in another thread I was asking for opinions on the Yaesu 7800 vs 8800 - perhaps I would have a use for the 8800 then to contact the ISS?

I heard two local stations using the cross band repeater function last night.
Downlink audio was on 145.800 MHz, uplink is 437.800 MHz.

There are two Perth stations working each other now via the ISS on 145.800.

*phew* I was desperate to get in with the short breaks they were leaving - quite a long pass and almost directly overhead which I think helped me to get on.

Yep, on the VX7R - I spent my lunchtime at work today programming 5 channels with the offsets including doppler shifts as it went over, I'm pleased it worked, it took aaages!
