145.800 downlink, 144.490 uplink is usually a good combo.

I made the booboo of trying to call them in the latest pass but they're sleeping til 2000hrs WA time.

There was a post on VKlogger stating "Reports this morning the 2m/70cm cross band repeater onboard the ISS has been switched on" That was the sum total of the post.

Yes the cross-band repeater has been turned on. I heard VK6MJ calling through it just now and then talking to a VK3, briefly before LOS

Confirmed a packet transmission on 145.825MHz when the ISS flew over tonight at 1410UTC. Hopefully will have a chance to decode on another pass in the next week or so.

Just noticed this article on the WIA site that a school in Victoria will be talking to the ISS on the 10th.

It doesn't mention a frequency - is there a way to find out how to listen in?

it should be 145.800 meg, A fellow operator told me that the guy who operates the radio equipment on baord the iss has now departed guys so there may not be any contact opertunities anymore or at least for a while. all there is a guess at the moment is packet and Crossband repeater.

Richard Garriot left the station last week. Michael Fincke KE5AIT is still up there so there will still be contacts but probably not so often as Richard was on last week. After all Richard was just visiting and had time to spare, Michael on the other hand will no doubt be busy doing what Astronauts do.

As far as the school contact goes, when they start the sked it's only at a very low elevation here and with a mutual window time of just a few minutes. I did have a look at the pass on my tracking program and it was a max of 6 degrees here in Bunbury,less from Perth. I would think they would not call until it is within range of the School Station and by then it would be close to out of range for over here.

Sometimes the school contacts are relayed on Echolink, so that would probably be your only chance. Don't know if this one will be or not.
