On another note i should be in a position to start stocking the mobile and base antennas shortly along with ICOM radios. Now i just stock commercial gear including coax and connectors but will be moving into amateur gear at the start of March.
That's great! It'll be just awesome to have such a local dealer

Thanks Meg, Has been a long time coming.
Decided to go into the HAM trade as there seems to be a bit of a gap, especially in antennas, coax and connectors. Seeing that i keep it commercially i thought it would be a good idea to offer it to HAM's at a discounted rate, along with installation services etc.
See how it goes!

My SG clone is starting to rust where as a mates original is fine.
As is Zebedee's, especially around the screw holes if I remember... possibly the screws are low grade stainless. I guess the clones are a good idea if you have a habit of running them into trees or garages.
Have a good holiday and hope you get some good signals from ZL!

I have a couple of these for my iPod and mobile phone already. They are damn pricey but work well!

What are you trying to install?
That depends on what I end up buying. Currently eyeing off a FT-8900R plus as-yet-unknown antenna, with the catch of trying not to drill anything if I absolutely don't have to (perhaps with the exception of mounting the radio body).
(oh and before anyone says, I know you can't transmit on 6m with an f-call!).

Nah its a IC-7000 up top. An IC-6063 IDAS Commercial under the stereo and a Simoco SRM9030 on the left.
Fastlane,
Have a look at the IC-7000 and the iphone, they on a bracket by holdmyphone. I genreally keep them in stock but only for newer commodores. I get them in overnight though.
For mobile i used to have the FT-7800, nice mobile dual bander for starting out! Its in the shack now.

I looked at that one for a while, but I decided against it because I want SSB on all the bands it does, so it would just be doubling up. Looks spiffy though.
