Congratulations 6FLUX and 6FWDH!

Look forward to hearing you on air. When I'm in the car I'm usually on VK6RVP (438.425) or VK6RUF (438.525) but I'll listen out for you on Tic Hill as well ;)

So ... when are you booking in to do your Standard ;)

Thanks Zebedee! Sounds like I'm going to have to look at getting a 70cm unit then... Oh no - more gadgets!

I think S may be taking my enrollment fee in with him when he goes in November.

I think I just told someone on air that I'm going to upgrade next year as well.. so I spose I should. Are your notes in good order? :-) I hope the classes are on a night I can deal with. We have night training that could interfere. I should check hamcollege shouldn't I.

Anyway, what I was originally going to ask.. how are you finding RVP? I use it to Echolink a certain F call down south and he says that machine gun noise is very annoying and trashes the QSO. That's frustrating because Echolink seems to be broken all the time on RNC and RFM is often busy. I'll stop whining now

You should have already decided a callsign. HLMNP and V for standard. Hey look - VK6MEG is free.

A couple of them, though my recollection of all the names is fading... There might be a few of us in the callbacks on Sunday. Tyranus - you'll have to get out of bed before 1000
Don't worry I'll be at Stathams quarry hopefully hanging off rope! Probably unable to call back :( I'm assisting on a course.

We are having some issues with the EchoIRLP computer.

We are having some issues with the EchoIRLP computer. I thought it might be fixed when I changed out the faulty LAN card that was causing some issues, but it is still persisting.

VK6GHZ is arranging a new PC which I will change over to next trip to Perth.

Regards,
Hi Rob, is it EchoIRLP that causes that weird sound? Weird. Good news anyway. BTW I have a document for you to check out. Hopefully I'll remember to send it to you when I get home.

Cheers

No definite dates / days etc yet for the 2009 courses, but off the top of my head I'd guess that the format will be much the same as this year. Standard course in the first half of the year, Advanced course in the second half.

Classes for both Standard and Advanced have been run on a Tuesday night at Lynwood Scout Hall between 7pm and 10pm (sometimes, if we're REALLY well behaved, they let us escape a bit early ;) )

Unless you hear otherwise, or different information appears on the HC website, assume that's what's happening ;)

Cool. Tuesday is a great DOW for me. Hope the coffee is fresh and plentiful and the Armstrong oscillators are infrequent.

That weird noise is LIPD interference.

Oh don't remind me ... I've still got to memorise those circuit diagrams before the exam. I swear my head is going to explode with all the stuff I have to remember! :)
