They're playing with fire, whoever they are. Going by what was said elsewhere, two other people have had the long arm of the law catch up with them, it's only a matter of time before the same happens again.vk6ngs wrote:This wasnt ring tone from a land line was different ring tones from a mobile phone being played over air on purpose.Vk6ngs

Care to elaborate?robbage wrote:Some of the speculation on air is a little worrying.... especially the stuff on Sunday morning
This is true, everyone is entitled to their day in court and under the law, until the process has been followed, it's important to give everyone the presumption of innocence.robbage wrote:Not really. Like 6ZLZ said that morning, wait for the official report. Due process and all that.
Wow! Clearly I'm not listening enough as I haven't heard any of them. (Can't really see me taking the radio into the library for work )Zebedee wrote:Having said that, I believe the tally of people who've been caught doing the wrong thing is now up to four.
Me neither, but that's what's been reported on air and at various gatherings etcmeg wrote:Wow! Clearly I'm not listening enough as I haven't heard any of them. Wow, and the other thread reports now 4... They have certainly been busy!!!slipknot wrote:something is going on, I heard that 3 people have been busted last week for transmitting without a licence.
Get an earphone! I'm not sure what floor you're on but you should get a good signal at the top (except maybe for the pager systems)meg wrote:Wow! Clearly I'm not listening enough as I haven't heard any of them. (Can't really see me taking the radio into the library for work )
eh meh. I'm in Midland in Landgate building you know corner of Morrison and Great Northern Hwy or something. Don't really pay attention to that street name. I don't recall hearing anything on Roley repeater, bu then I couldn't exactly call up and see if someone was listening now could I?!meg wrote:The walls are about 2 foot thick concrete - I don't think I'd get anything. The balcony on the top floor looks directly east - from there I could almost certainly hit Roleystone or Walliston repeaters.
Of course my workmates would point and stare at me...
