11175kHz USB

Post by PeteRip »

Thought I should bung this freq up as I didn't see it pone any of the other pages.
USAF global HF freq. Quite interesting one. CB action or what ever it was called before it died used to devote about 1/2 a page to the comings and goings of the yanks.
Usually failry strong coming into Perth.

Cheers!

4.724 6.739 8.992 11.175 13.200 15.016 MHz are all listed as frequencies of the GHFS (Mainsale) network.
There are other frequencies attached to the network although I've never received any thing on them.
Still have some old Radio and Communications (incorporating Amature Radio Action Action and CB action) in the cupboard at home. :)
John Batty wrote the article "Shortwave Listening with a Difference" and covered all things interesting. (and military)
I used to really enjoy this mag, but sadly as radio as a hobby died so did the mags. :(
There was also section on WX Satellites by Arthur Andrews which gave good information on the Noaa and other weather satellites.
Radio as hobby was struck a blow when the mag closed.
Keep listening :D
