Does anyone have a list of the current Australia and international HF communication frequencies between aircraft and ground and vice versa? Any information would be appreciated, cheers.

Indian Ocean=
3476; 5634; 8879; 13306; 17961
from Antananarivo to Male right round to Perth
SE Asia III=
3485; 5649; 5655; 8942; 11396; 13309; 17907
from Male to Bali to Brisbane
Sth Pacific=
3467;5643; 8867; 13261; 17904
from San fransisco down to Antarctica then up to Auckland and brisbane

I've been listening to "Singapore Radio" on 8942 tonight. They seem to call aircraft with a two-tone secall that sounds a bit like DTMF. A bit harder to hear the aircraft though...

Also pick this up on a number of HF air channels. I was under the impression that they were confirming the planes squawk frequencies
Although that is only a guess on my behalf. Any one clear this up?

It's their SELCAL code - exactly the same as a SELCALL on a UHFCB...

They must have a secondary working channel for general comms because I've never heard a plane call on the main freqs with the DTMF tone. More listening required for me.
11.396 is another freq that has same traffic as the above.
We need to get a international pilot on the board.

Simple really, most of the comms is done via Satlink now and avoids the need for HF Comms MOST of the time. Some of the hops still require it.
They are given two freq's - one a Primary and one a Secondary. Normally it goes something like "Singapore 224, Brisbane accepts Primary guard 8879, Secondary 5634, Standby for SELCAL check". The pilot switches the radio across the receive the "SELCAL" setting and it opens up the squelch once the correct SELCAL is received.
The A/C will only transmit when it is giving a position report or requesting a higher / lower flight level etc. They will call on the Primary frequency and if no contact can be established they revert to the Secondary frequency.
Transmissions from the A/C will be few and far between as they travel great distances between position reports - typically only 4-5 reports given before being "transferred" to another Service - i.e. Ujungpandang Control - same frequency normally or a VHF Frequency.
