Does'nt seem to be any other shortwave radio listeners out there, no replies in over 6 months ?

I don't listen to the shortwave radio stations, i just like to be able to pick up as many english ones as i can at a given hour/half hour.

I gotta admit, been lazy lately and been listening to the BBC either from the C1 satellite or on 585Khz relayed by ABC

I'm also suffering horrible powerline interference here lately which is making my enjoyment of the radio hobby severely limited

I'm new to this forum. I do not listen to SW as frequently as I did, simply as news are easier to obtain via the internet. Still shortwave listening gives one a balanced news information. I used to do a lot of Dxing when young (in Sweden), then too young to be able to obtain a AR license. The interest in radio never did go away. As computers became more readily available I, being a bit of a geek, soon learned that there was a PC based radio unit called "Winradio", that unit covers all frequencies (some may already know that of course). The radio enabled me to find also emergency radio transmissions and my interests in using scanning facilities grew. I found this forum and I find it to be a pleasant one to join. You appear to be a well balanced and friendly lot what is seldom seen in many forums as some forums harbour persons of odd personalities.
