Trying to pick up anything!

Post by Big Mick »

Hey all, still playing around with my UBC93XLT scanner however having trouble finding stuff to listen to.

Has anyone got this scanner/can recommend any frequencies I can tune in to to find some good stuff, I'll listen to anything.

Much appreciated!

How about listening to some planes :smt023
I don't know how clear is the reception from Morley but I find the aviation frequencies are quite busy.
Try to listen to the ATIS because it is basically broadcasting non-stop over and over. If you can hear the ATIS then
most likely everything else is clear too.

Perth ATIS 123.800 Mhz AM

Perth Airport Frequencies ( they are all in AM )

Perth Approach 123.600
Perth Tower 120.500
Perth Ground 121.700
Perth Departues 118.700
Perth Delivery 118.550 and 132.950
Perth Center 127.500
Perth ATIS 123.800
Perth Radar 135.250 (0 to 35 DME PH VOR)

Or if you fancy of people swearing at each other then try the CB channel 3

CB Channel 3 : 476.475 Mhz FM

The CB Channel 3 and ATIS are good to start with because they are always busy.

Let me know if you can hear the CB Channel 3 from Morley.

Best to stick to one thread, and there are sticky's at the top of most forums.

Karrinyup and Morley bus services http://warsug.info/viewtopic.php?p=83340#p83340 FESA for you 164.000 or 163.250 to get you started.
"VKI, NJ050 will you be attending the job?"
"Negative VKI, my desk is bolted to the floor".

Thanks all, great topics-figured out to program frequencies etc etc, pretty limited reception but it's not too bad. Cheers all:)
