Hi all,

I've noticed when sitting at fast food joints and having my UBC73XLT set to Close Call, it picks up the drive thru from the cashier's end.
Not too interesting to listen to but it might be something to give a try next time you head in for a feed.

Regards

Yes some outlets use low power transmitters, although I scratch my head as to why they bother and didn't just cable it since they are usually not that far away from both ends...

its because they have to be mobile throughout the store, performing various jobs that require communication throughout the crew and the Drive through order boxes

@Always RX :

Thank's for that mate. I notice by looking at the number of registrations in that list it seems that not all McDonald's or Hungry Jack's use radio communication. I'm I correct ? :-k

A lot of the Drive Thru's now use HME equipment (scroll down to Page 4), which is low power 900 MHz or 2.4 GHz Spread Spectrum, and apparently does not require a licence.

The HME headsets are easily recognised, as they are Black, with a big Red label around the controls.
