Wanting to buy a GME RX1300 Scanner

450-500mHz

Post by CyanideIllusions »

Hey guys,

I'm new here, just recently moved to perth, set up a base antenna to go with my Icom 400pro, use it for TX'ing and have a lot of spare slots in my memory, just wondering what are some good active frequencies to RX on between 450mHz and 500mHz.

I'm located just south of Perth, near the Como area.

Any help is appreciated,

Cheers.

Hello,

Off the top of my head there are Path Transit buses, Swan transit, the rail services and St Johns are below 450Mhz, Wilson security, Education Security.
"VKI, NJ050 will you be attending the job?"
"Negative VKI, my desk is bolted to the floor".

Cheers for that, I'll program in some of those and have a listen, see what I can get. I've been listening to 485.950 for the last 30-60 minutes, I believe it's transit guards but I'm not entirely sure, I am sure they're boring as to listen to. I had a scanner in my possession a while ago and was listening to 418.250 (I think) and that was quite interesting to listen to at night times.

Edit:

Just seen on http://warsug.info/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=6519 that 485.950 is Wilson Security/Parking.

Whilst I was programming in some of those frequencies I found this continuous tone/noise on 473.11875, 473.120, 473.125, 473.130, 473.13125 any idea what this could be?

Also got some traffic on 485.525 and 485.945, trying to find what they are
