Kalgoorlie scanner:

It prompted me for a user/pass, I hit cancel and this is what I got.

Your input can't be opened:
VLC is unable to open the MRL 'http://omg.matrix.net.au:8000/'. Check the log for details.

Pardon the pun, but... omg...

Kalgoorlie Scanner:

I was listening to it in the morning (Monday), and then at odd times in the afternoon.
I was having a few issues by late morning (EST), in that it was "buffering" very badly. I am not sure whether that is at the owner's end, or my end.

I had some discussions with the owner recently, and he did suggest that he was going to do some upgrading of the hardware at his end, but I am not sure if this has occurred, or is a future project.

However, I have not had any issues in relation to not being able to actually get in.
A silly comment, but make sure that you are using the correct web address, since, if you look at the original postings, there is a second noted, and this is the one that works.

As a side point, can anyone advise on the issue of the "buffering" - causes, fixes etc.

Regards
DSD

As an adjunct to my post, the address noted in the first posting to this topic is the correct address.

I should further add that, at my request, the local railways have been added.

Hey All,

I've had a scanner running @ http://scanner.clonnyserver.com:8000 for quite a while now.

FESA performance is pretty bad, but it picks up Transperth and a few others up in the high 400's quite well.

Scanner is based @ Eden Hill. Feel free to provide feedback via PM on here or by email to admin@clonnyserver.com.

Cheers :)
