Digital Radio Stations

Post by numloxx »

Hi all,

I recently heard an advert on radio for Digital Radio Plus, and was wondering if those radio stations can be picked up with a digital scanner?

http://www.digitalradioplus.com.au/ is the website for it all.

Cheers

I doubt it. DR+ is an upgraded Digital Radio Mondale and supports multiple channels and other stuff like images and other information. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digital_Radio_Mondiale

No sorry, it will be a "data" sound that will be worthless to listen to. If you have digital TV and have listened to ABC Dig Jazz or something like that you can hear the better audio quality, expect the same thing in a different format on local radio, and you can buy such radios from Jaycar.

I did a radio podcast on the future of radio if you wanna listen, it's at http://www.dx.hriradio.org/ episode 4.
Happy scanning,
