Recording Software for Trunktrackers

Post by numloxx »

Hi all,

I'm wondering if there is some type of scanner recording software that also logs which talkgroup it's coming from at the same time?

This would be very handy for working out who is who on the central park trunk and others, just leave the scanner going all day while at work.

Cheers

ID tracker

You can also record to tie in with the talkgroup log.
I have never figured out how the recording side of it works.
It is obviously based on how your PC or laptop is configured, because what works for one person doesn't seem to work with others.
Let us know if you get it going.

I personally use Unitrunker for Motorola Type II but you need somebody to do the discrim tap for you (I paid somebody who is cluey on this)

Thanks.
Just left it running overnight, and it's doing a great job of recording and logging the group ID's.
Thanks

Now I just need to setup a proper antenna that doesn't fade out when the sun rises hahaha

Those cheap imported antennae from Transylvania aren't worth it.

Edit: did I mention I hate it when people type antennas
