Secureforce freqs

Greetings all,

Wondering if anyone knows the frequencies used by Secureforce International as well as their frequencies for bus transit security?

I've been listening to many of the public bus frequencies around the 470's but have yet to hear the security channel/s

The ACA database shows secureforce owning a single ambulatory (i.e. radio to radio) channel at 450.300Mhz

Maybe they use the bus company radios to talk?

They may use the bus company freqs as VK6HGR suggested, that way they can talk to the bus drivers directly...

Or they use radios owned by someone else and leased to Secureforce.

473.575 south side

461.325Mhz is probably northside. It's in the ACA database to a comms company in Osbourne Park.

473.575Mhz isn't licensed in WA on the ACA databse though

Anyways, how did the bus driver know the freqs...?

they where very active on 450.3000 yesterday afternoon traffic was at a stand still in the city on St Georges Tce and secureforce where talking to base about it affecting the buses.And yes I was in town so may only work in town.

Secureforce Transit vehicles are fitted with 2-ways that allow them to transmit & receive ALL vehicles on the Bus Networks , in other words they operate on the Bus Company Freqs as well as their own , especially for operations & arrests.

They use simplex locally in Perth & all stations , buses etc

I guess that makes sense (the fact that they transmit on the bus company's frequencies).

Sometimes at night such as when I'm putting the wheelie bin out, I've seen a car with "TRANSIT" markings following the bus that runs past my house. It makes sense that the guys in the car can talk to the drive of the bus they are following, otherwise how are they supposed to know what's going on?

A question for cooler since you seem to be in the know with regards to bus security - do the cars just follow buses at random, or do they mainly target routes that are known to have troublemakers? Or is it some combination of the two?

I believe that , in fact , if there is a car in the vicinity or following a Bus there is an Officer on board, no big secret , my son is one of their Officers

I tried the 450.300 MHz today in Perth and it sounds like pulsating chirping noise and very loud too. I think it's owned by City of Perth now.

Holy thread revival, well since Secure Force no longer do buses that allocation as you see isn't even assigned to them any more.

In case you didn't already know, Wilson's now do it, and their operational channel is 489.400. They also talk on the bus channels to communicate directly to the depot controllers/dispatch relevant to the area.
