This is the list of Burswood resort trunking groups I've heard so far. Add to the list if you have an LTR scanner :-)

They have a few frequencies but 99.99% of their traffic is on 865.0625

    0-01-047
    0-01-049 Housekeeping
    0-01-060

I've got my UBCT8 Scanner now, so trying to have a listen to Burswood.
I've entered in all the freqs, in LTR mode, but I always seem to get some data (Control Channel?) Should I lock out those channels?

060 - Carpark, mostly talking about which ticket numbers they want valet driven to the entrance, and the footy scores.

By the look of the latest ACMA licence the 800Mhz LTR system installed is probably 5 channels.

865.0625 Burswood Resort (Management) Limited - Tx Victoria Park
866.0625 Burswood Resort (Management) Limited - Tx Victoria Park
867.0625 Burswood Resort (Management) Limited - Tx Victoria Park
868.0625 Burswood Resort (Management) Limited - Tx Victoria Park
869.0625 Burswood Resort (Management) Limited - Tx Victoria Park

The way to confirm this is to check out what frequencies are pulsing - ie every 10 secs you should hear the LTR pulse. If it is doing on all 5 - then it is a 5 channel LTR system and so on.

Even though most of the activity is happening on LCN 1 which seems to be 865.0625 and all the users have 0-01-XXX radio groups, what the other four frequencies are there for is when then are multiple groups are all talking at the same time ie a maximum of 5 simultaneous groups talking at once. From what you guys have supplied it would seem that the home channel for all users is LCN01

An example
If say three groups are talking at the same time, you will find that say
0-01-004 Security is on 865.0625, 0-01-049 housekeeping may be on 869.0625 and cleaning 0-01-135 on 867.0625. On 865.0625 on your LTR bank, if it is set up properly, you will see the three talkgroups flashing up alternately but only 0-01-004 security heard.

Assuming that the LTR channels have been set up simply, if you program your LTR scanner as follows:

LCN 1 = 865.0625
LCN 2 = 866.0625
LCN 3 = 867.0625
LCN 4 = 868.0625
LCN 5 = 869.0625

it should follow the talkgroups.

If you are using say a 780 you must leave the rest of the bank set to 0. If it doesn't work following groups (ie locked on a user but following the conversation when the frequency shifts) that means that the LTR maybe set up different eg LCN 1-5-9-13-17 .... set up the bank as Ch 1 = 865.0625 .then blank for 2.3.4. Ch 5 = 866.0625, then blank 6.7.8. Ch 9 = 867.0625 and so on. Some scanners like the PRO97 and the newer ones like the GRE PSR500 actually tell you the LCN of the pulse they are picking up. All comes down to experimentation

And once you are up and running try LTR analyser by "Slicer wizard" - it works off an audio plug into your sound card. I use a preamp to bump up the signal. Leave it running while you go to work. (right-click to properties to set up maximum screen space). Come home and look through the list of what groups were active. Helps you to become an expert on that site.

Example of LTR Analyser - Star City Casino Sydney 4 channel LTR 1st Feb 2008

The analyser only works on the LCN it is listening to and logs the sub-audible OSW signals that tells the radio of a certain grouping where they are to go to ... what LCN channel. Although Star City use to be a 7 channel LTR system (it was a mongrel to work out the LCN pattern for Uniden 780 tracking) the "FREE" data below tells me that only Channels 1.2.3 and 6 are being used now ie pulsing.

Security is on LCN 03 = 470.725 and can also access LCN 06
Casino floor on LCN 06 = 472.275
Entertainment on LCN 02 = 485.425

From memory
Security 0-03-001 and 0-06-001
Valets/Ports 0-06-007
Housekeeping 0-06-012
Machine techs 0-06-026
Gaming staff 0-06-027

Can't remember the rest off the top of my head

This is what is required if you want to listen to it properly.
I personally would not go into a casino with a scanner
However you can listen from a respectable distance outside
Enjoy while it lasts because digital spectrum spread / TDMA systems are not far away ie unscannable.

Grant

PS I don't know what your Casino looks like but the one in my city has 1,000 cameras and they are watching you everywhere inside the complex.

For LTR systems the likely progression is either Kenwood's Nexedge or Motorola's TRBO. The analogue LTR won't be around for ever.

The LTR is still active, well I heard some noise on LCN2 (866.0625) but no voice.

Plugged the 5 channels into my UBCT396XT and scanned for a while.
No voice heard, but found the following talkgroups. I'm guessing it's all encrypted now. Heard a sawtooth sound.

0-22-058
0-04-??? (Missed it)
