Flare sighting

Post by perthscanner »

Hi, a flare was sighted off HIllarys at 2117hrs and I was wondering if anyone could monitor 156.675MHz for a little while (if you live near the coast) and see if there is a search underway.. thanks

I'm getting a strong signal with a bit of whistle (in NE suburbs). Is that normal? It might be local noise.

Nope, you should be hearing audio traffic, not data... Thanks anyway. How far from the coast are you?
