Post by Ambul8 »

Hi There

I am thinking of updating my scanner and am looking at something liek this:

Does anyone use this scanner and if so/if not any comments on it. Or would you recommend something different? Don't want spend a whole days pay, so something around the 450 mark is fine.

I got one brand new on eBay for around the $260 mark from memory. Does pretty good though can't seem to program my own search upper and lower limits (they have pre-programmed groups in already), but I must admit I don't use it much, it sits on one freq all day. I reckon the software to operate it via PC would be pretty handy. The ones you get for free online operate a limited number of functions.. It really depends what you will use it for. For the money you are spending you should be able to get uninterrupted receive from 26ish MHz to around 1300MHz. The interruption annoys me.

**Just checked eBay and it looks like you'll be paying 250-350 bucks incl delivery..
