Marine VHF and 27MHz

Anyone else get out and about on the waters / river much? Whenever I am out I am monitoring both VHF and 27Mhz Marine.

9,10,12,16,67,72,73 Marine VHF on Scan
DPI Marine Zulu, Water Police Base (Domestic) on Scan
All 10 x 27MHz channels on Scan

Generally on the river..

G'day - I regularly listen to marine channels and am interested if anyone hears anything about marine rescues, searches etc.

only scan marine vhf channels not 27mhz

I am a radio operator for Port Denison Sea Search & Rescue. We operate 2 HF's, 3 Vhf's, 4 27 Meg's, and 1 UHF (SES Channels, All local and gerladton freq's, fire freq's etc).

if anything intresting happens when i am on shift i will give you a buzz mate

when i was in gerro. last i saw a S&R tower about 70 odd meters from the shore , it had what looked like a HF arieal and a UHF arieal but didnt look like the shack had bee used for a long time.
