Looks like a nice radio! Here's a pic:

And Uniden Australia's site for it:

It has a few features that aren't much use in Australia, like fire tone out and NOAA weather... but I like the fact that it can decode APCO25 digital :-)

New UBCD396T Digital Scanner

Post by Brian »

Hi all,

I'm Brian a new member here. I have just had a quick flip through some topics before joinging and I might have a bit to say here over the next few days. Definately some interesting topics.

In relation to the Uniden UBCD396T Digital Scanner I am not sure if it is actually released just yet, however it should be in the next few days to the next few weeks. The release date was going to be Mid to Late November so we are not too far away.

I have done a quick review on the scanner and it looks pretty damn impressive. Rather than making this post very long I have thrown the review in my online store. This doesn't mean you have to buy the scanner, it just tells you all about the radio. Follow the link below.

Uniden Digital Scanner Monday Update

Post by Brian »

Hi All,

Just a quick update to say I have spoken to the Uniden distributor today and they still don't have a release date for the scanner and have not received any stocks as yet. The best time frame they have for a release is early December. We are still waiting on possible further details to come through from Uniden directly.

I'll try and keep the group updated as I get details, but understandably with so many different people wanting updates it is not always possible to reach everyone.

I will always be uploading the most recent up dates to the Emcom Communications store which can be accessed from the Emcom Communications main page http://www.emcom.com.au

On the store is a review of the scanner with all of the features. It has been updated since the original product went into the store after a comprehensive read of the instruction manual. The scanner is also available for pre order so it can be shipped on the day it is released.

Warm Regards,

Brian Lea
