Guys, something to consider is to have a sticky or something for Tow Trucks.

I'm not sure if this will be favourable by everyone, but yeah please ask around, and see if we can get a page of Tow Truck Frequencies to help us listen to whats actually happening at the scene of an accident, ie - Todays car v Truck on the Kwinana Freeway that I posted - in South Perth.

which Towing company would you recommend would be the best to listen to - In regards to "most call outs" etc (if possible)

don't know best to put all four in and see which is most active

Where i used to live,
Tow truck drivers would have programmable TX radio's that were already setup for each service in town, and would monitor it until they heard the word "tow truck" then they would jump on and TX illegally on frequencies, funny how they havent been busted yet , i dont think the person who the frequency is leased to realises that yes they are helping them out but are not meant to be on the frequency.

Very illegal. No permission = unlicensed operation. Unlicensed operation = huge fines and possible gaol term (Radiocommunications Act)

This is obviously drawing on my sydney experiences but I have found towies all over the place - mainly on a)conventional rental frequencies and b)using trunking frequencies. Very few apply for commercial licences in their own name. They are very territorial and if you poach jobs in somebody else's area, then violent retribution usually follows.

Has anybody looked on the conventional rental frequencies - you will find courier, waste and security companies here as well at various times of the day and night

Now that most of the WAPOL has gone didgital, heard a patrol car call to any towies listening, prang at Russel and Rudloc St Morley, so one way of letting the hookies know.
