Warships are always hard to listen to. They routinely encrypt their comms, and they output so much RF (Radar etc) that it simply swamps most receivers.Always RX wrote:Thats 156.500
Hmm. Depends on the frequency and where the repeater is. Could be interference, but then again it could just be interference (mixing etc from other repeaters) or a faulty repeater controller. Does it have CTCSS on its input?Always RX wrote:Gday Gav , Im running a repeater station for work purposes and all this week we have been getting peppered by signals and interference that we have never heard before. Its giving the repeater itself hell as its clicking TX and RX relays constantly and sending out bits of voice comms at us. Do you think there is any chance this is due to the Warships and all the juice they are pumping out?? Or should i call the techie?...it sorta sounds like a power short too....maybe a loose whatsit...dunno... any thoughts?
