Setting up an online scanner.

Post by VKC to Matlock »

Just wondering the legal implications of setting up a streaming scanner online.
It would be for a local company's train control channel.

Is there anything that may bite me if I go ahead with it?
Also is dial-up okay for it or is broadband the way to go?

Any info or tips would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

Nah it's legal, it would also be nice if you informed the train company.

Don't waste your time with dialup, broadband all the way.

Hey VKC to Matlock, did you end up getting the scanner online? Have you a link for it?

Nah, sorry. It got a bit complicated, then the high speed server connection I was going to use got too busy.
