I was wondering why I can't pick up the wireless microphone at my work.
the Reciever for the microphone displays 614.200Mhz yet my uniden ubcd396xt can't pick up the microphone. Any one with any ideas as to why

Re: wireless microphones
Is the scanner set to auto modulation? I'm not sure how they work really

Re: wireless microphones
Call me silly.
tried to enter the frequency for the wireless microphone (614.200Mhz), and now have learnt why I can't receive it. It's our of the frequency band for the scanner. I guess asking silly questions and attempting to operate technical equipment when one is 8/10th's asleep

Re: wireless microphones
This depends on the type of wireless microphone. Most microphones now operate on proprietary digital protocols which wouldn't be picked up (at least audibly) by an ordinary scanner.
