Roland, the system is Motorola Capacity Plus running 5 TX/RX freq pairs. As the system is Mototrbo you will need to use equipment that can receive DMR.

FYI, The repeater "booms" out and can be heard quite a distance from the stadium.

Portable RID's start with 61XXX and base/fixed units are 56XX

Talkgroup range is 20-32(12 known in use)

Thanks mate.

A DMR and P25 scanner is on my purchase list.

This information will be brilliant for the future.

FYI, there is no DMR conventional scanner on the market, you can use a cheap dongle or save for a good commercial interface. they all do just as good as each other for most monitoring. There are other methods but a dongle will be the cheapest.

I just turned on my receiver and they are on air now using 2 talkgroups so far

I'm going to get a lot of surplus gear that can support it.

Yes, it's not all that legal, but meh, I break the law responsibly.

Warsug is always open for generous donations! hehe.

I haven't played much with decoding P25 and DMR with dongles... Are any folks who have done this interested in writing a how-to?

I'd be happy to help provide a linux guide.

Linux is the preferable platform for this kind of experimentation.

I'll find a link to an article/how to. There is plenty of DMR and P25 around that is in the clear.

Best method is to first use a SDR dongle to find what you want to listen to and then set a radio up with RX only to listen in.

hi i don't know anything about the uniden 436hp but with the TRX-2 & TRX-1 you can set it up so that when they talk it will display the frequency, color code, time slot, talkgroup that is being used on that frequency. as i live down south the next time im up i will have a listen on the arena frequency's and post anything i find out.
