WA Radio Scanner Users' Group

Hi All,
I have just purchased a Uniden UBC126AT, I have read through the booklet that came with it but I cant get passed the first screen. When I turn the unit on it goes through the copyright info then comes to what I think is the start screen.

The display reads

Scan Mode
All locked!

bnk: 23 567890

I cant see anything in the book that relates to "locks" other than the keypad lock

any help please

Sounds like there is just nothing to scan to start with?

Are you able to manually enter frequencies as per the manual? You could also give Uniden a call on 1300 366 895.

With the radio turned off, press and hold the 2, 9 and HOLD buttons all at the same time, while turning the radio on. It will reset it back to factory default and undo any errors. You will loose any data that has been entered.

I have tried your suggested fix with no luck.
I haven't been able to enter anything as every time i to anything it comes up with the message ALL LOCKED!!

Is this scanner new?

But if ever thing is still locked after a factory reset the unit has a bad possessing chip or a bad bord

Yes it is new and i am not real happy with uniden i sent them an email back in January and i am still waiting for them to get back to me.
i know i should of followed up with them but have been busy.
