Try 148.6000. scan up and down to get the data you want. Be responsible and never disclose any data you recieve.

DFES Metro - 148.6375 MHz

If you use a scanner, best use a slicer instead of soundcard. You can make your own or buy one online.

Better off using an SDR dongle like this http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Digital-RTL2 ... 540651bf0b for under $10. Use SDR Sharp free software to turn it into a scanner. Use PDW Paging Software (free) to read the pager messages. Create a filter to capture just the DFES pages. Set key filters such as "fire" "inc" "comcen" "SAO" "SSD" "Turnout" "TOUT" "Ack" and so on. Use filters to reject any capcodes that slip through.

Lots of volunteers use it to keep up with incidents.

If you use PDW 2.16 (old version - hunt around for it) you can upload the results to a webpage, or email them somewhere, or if you have an email to sms function, enter it in the email address and it will sms you the message.

There you are, for $9.25 you are good to go.

Start here to get SDR sharp running.

https://www.rtl-sdr.com/rtl-sdr-quick-start-guide/

You need a audio piping type software

Then read this to set up the decoding software
